The MobileWebAwards annual competition has set industry benchmarks for the best mobile web awards around the world. National MI was honored as one of the best mobile apps in the insurance industry.

This award highlights the accomplishments and achievements of the women working within the housing and mortgage industries and is also dedicated to the issues women face in trying to obtain the dream of homeownership and a mortgage loan.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition for any individual or company involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs. National MI was awarded as a Platinum Winner in the Strategic Communications/Special Event category for its Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) 2016 entry. The submission included a die-cut printed customer invitation to our cocktail party, and our public signage/banners hanging from Boston street lamps in a 3 block radius around the convention center that generated buzz and presence for National MI at the event.

National MI congratulates Michelle Schuchart on winning an Insiders Award™ from HousingWire. A Sales Support Specialist, she was recognized for her dedication to our 60+ sales people across the country, and for being the de facto go-to person on the team due to her leadership and strategic thinking. A National MI Pinnacle award winner, we are proud of our “operational all-star” and her recognition by HousingWire.

The Women of Influence awards recognize the outstanding efforts of women in driving the U.S. housing economy forward, and are given to women who are making notable contributions to their businesses and to the industry at-large – with a specific focus on contributions made in the most recent 12 months. Our Chief Operating Officer, Claudia Merkle, was recognized as the innovator behind our groundbreaking 12 month rescission relief offering, sparking a trend in the industry, and for the value she brings to our company and employees through her leadership and mentorship.

HW’s Rising Stars program recognizes young industry professionals under the age of 40 who have become leaders in their respective fields. Those who are helping move markets forward, each and every day.

The MReport Women of Impact List features influential female leaders in the housing and mortgage industries. Mary Lee Sharp, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at National MI was named to the category of “Leading Ladies,” which recognizes top executives and managers. Mary Lee was selected for her critical role in developing National MI’s HR department and programs, fostering our strong corporate culture, and using her voice to promote diversity and inclusion at National MI. With Mary Lee heading HR, National MI has received many “great company to work for” awards including Great Place to Work and the San Francisco and Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Housing Wire recognizes young industry professionals under the age of 40 who have become leaders in their respective fields. Julie Norberg, Controller at National MI has been named to HousingWire’s Rising Stars recognition program, among the first to recognize young mortgage and housing industry professionals. Julie has been instrumental in the company’s growth and helped build the company’s finance department from the ground up, establishing the early accounting policies and financial protocols necessary for the company’s successful public offering.

The Markie Awards honor excellence in data-driven marketing, and recognizes innovation and marketing organizations that deliver the best of their brand using Oracle Marketing Cloud solutions. National MI was awarded Best Emerging Company Marketing Campaign for its L.O.A.N. (Loan Officer Automated Nurture) email campaign recognizing the company for increasing click through rates by 235% and using online creativity, compelling content, and marketing automation to make a tangible impact.

HousingWire’s 2018 class of Insiders continues to carry the torch, lighting the way for innovation, hard work and determination. 40 professionals were selected for their ability to not only transform their companies, but the industry as a whole. HousingWire presents the Insiders award to Christina Bartning, Vice President of Marketing and Client Solutions. Christina has led National MI’s media and PR efforts, advised executives on high level strategic initiatives and helped plan and roll out new product launches.

The 2018 Rising Stars represent the best young leaders under age 40 in the mortgage industry including lending, servicing, investing and real estate, whose efforts and accomplishments are influencing the present and future course of the industry. T.J. Lile, Vice President of National Accounts, has had a rapid ascent in Sales at National MI, and his national accounts team has been recognized as “team of the year” due to its overall sales volume in mortgage insurance policies. He credits his adaptability to almost any environment or situation as a key factor in his success. Elaine Till, Account Manager for Oregon and Hawaii, was one of the first employees hired at National MI in 2013 and has grown alongside the company moving from a senior specialist in the Solution Center, to nurturing customer accounts in Sales in Washington and Oregon as an Account Representative until her recent promotion. She credits her success to being open to unexpected opportunities and trying something new.

The Spirit Award recognizes a group of individuals, from one or more organizations, whose enthusiasm and support for Opens Doors brought new people and organizations to the Foundation’s roster of supporters, and whose efforts amplified the impact the Foundation has on vulnerable families in America.
